Have you ever wondered why it can be so expensive to get car insurance for new drivers? It is because even after 40 to 80 hours of driving lessons and a successful Practical Test, a person is still inexperienced. Insurance is most expensive for young drivers. This is because, often due to that lack of experience, they are the most likely to be killed or seriously injured (KSI) on the road.

Clearly the last thing you want is to have a collision. So what are the options for reducing the chance of being involved in a crash? A Pass Plus course will enable you to gain confidence and experience after passing your test, including learning how to reduce the risk of collisions.

There are a number of insurers that will give you a discount on your insurance premium if you have completed a Pass Plus course.

No Test

There is NO TEST to take after completing the Pass Plus course. Your instructor signs-off the training and sends off for your certificate.

The Pass Plus course takes at least 6 hours and you will receive in-car tuition on:

  • Dual carriageways
  • Motorway driving
  • Rural roads
  • Complicated city situations
  • All weather conditions
  • Night driving

Speak to your instructor about a Pass Plus course once you have booked your practical test.
