Following a change in the law in 2018, a learner driver can receive motorway driving lessons PRIOR to passing their practical test under specific circumstances:
1: Motorway driving lessons MUST be with a qualified Driving Instructor - not with an unqualified person.
2: The vehicle the learner drives during any motorway driving lessons must be fitted with dual controls.
3: The learner driver must be considered to be close to passing their practical driving test, and be of a standard fit to drive on a fast road such as a motorway.
